Our Mission:

To recognize and perpetuate the name of Michael J. Gonsalves, and the many contributions he made to society through a scholarship endowment for qualified individuals at Rhode Island College.

Partial or full financial assistance will be based on the following criteria: victims of the Station Nightclub Fire; dependents of the Station Nightclub Fire victims; financial need; academic excellence and civic leadership.

The name, Michael J. Gonsalves ’86 Scholarship Fund, is only to be used as a not-for-profit entity. No salaries or wages will be paid to anyone. This scholarship is designed solely to keep Michael’s name and spirit alive.

This year's recipient is Darrell Nobrega whose mother, Anne Nobrega, was a victim of the fire.

They both volunteered at this years golf tournament. We would like to send a special thank you to them as well as thank all of this years participants, volunteers, and contributors - with out you and your continued support, the fund would not exist.
